Последний аромат в линейке Majda Bekkali Parfums Tulaytulah, несмотря на посвящение миру в Толедо, по сути, военный разведчик и провокатор. Да не усыпят вашу бдительность конфеты с пралине и вишневый сок! Tulaytulah одновременно выполняет функции доброго и злого полицейского, атакуя, смущая и подчиняя. Вместе с приятными сладостями и франжипани, придется смотреть на проглядывающие тут и там кедр и сырое тесто. Возможно, Tulaytulah – не так рассказ о гармоничном сосуществовании христианской, мусульманской и еврейской культур, как тест на принятие чужих странностей и эмоциональную устойчивость. А еще мне кажется, ключевой момент в зарождении симпатии к этому аромату – горячая кожа.

Кстати, о коже – в Tulaytulah мускусно-замшевая база, и если носить аромат на запястье, с течением времени он становится более комфортным и напоминает ароматный успокоительный бальзам. Хочется найти какую-то странную книгу вроде “Меня зовут красный” – и погрузиться в атмосферу.

Being at peace

The last perfume in the line of Majda Bekkali Parfums Tulaytulah, despite the dedication to the peaceful environment in Toledo, is, in fact, a military intelligence officer and a provocateur. Together with a pleasant sweetness and frangipani, we have to look here and there at cedar and raw cookie dough. Maybe Tulaytulah is not that the story of the harmonious coexistence of Christian, Muslim and Jewish cultures, it is a test for our emotional stability and other people’s oddities acceptance. And it seems to me, hot testosterone skin is the key moment in the birth of sympathy for this scent.

Speaking of skin – there is musky-suede base in Tulaytulah, and if you wear perfume on your wrist, over time it becomes more comfortable and reminiscent of a fragrant soothing balm. I want to find a bit strange book like “My Name is Red” and enjoy the atmosphere.

Ночь была черная, но прозрачная, точно в сетке подвешенная к одинокой тусклой звезде. Вязкая густота воздуха приглушала клаксон шедшей впереди «изотты». Шофер Брэди вел машину не торопясь; задние фары «изотты» иногда лишь показывались на повороте дороги, а потом и вовсе исчезли из виду.

Tendre Est La Nuit не то чтобы действительно полупрозрачный как для парфюма о черной ночи, но ведет себя довольно-таки аккуратно. Модный нишевый бессмертник не пытается залезть вам прямо в душу, а специи заключают в крепкие объятия, в которых, однако, вполне можно дышать. Это похоже на настройку гитары – одновременная проверка силы натяжения и высоты звучания, а также – не болят ли пальцы после вчерашней тренировки. И когда становится очевидным, что все в порядке – можно оглядеться и оценить обстановку.

Tendre Est La Nuit гораздо более стойкий, чем главный герой романа Дик Дайвер. В этом плане ему можно довериться. Что он при этом будет показывать – все-таки зависит от многих факторов, и парфюмер подготовила несколько сценариев развития событий: кожа, дерево, тихий распив алкогольных напитков. Мы убедились, что чета Дайверов умеет получать от жизни удовольствия – выезжают ли они в свет или принимают гостей у себя. И эта многофункциональность сыграет на руку и с парфюмом Majda Bekkali – надушиться им можно в общем много когда и куда.

И все же, не все так просто с этим Tendre Est La Nuit. Есть в нем что-то опасное, что прячется в тени до поры до времени.  Нет, я не имею в виду страшные мускусы или животные запахи – которые тут впрочем присутствуют, и вполне удачно. Что-то кроется именно в комбинации ингредиентов, которые приглашают приблизиться – и вдруг категорически отталкивают. Если ваши нервы в порядке – можно попробовать вытянуть немного адреналина с Tendre Est La Nuit. Но если вы устали физически – и главное, эмоционально – я бы посоветовала воздержаться от этого, на первый взгляд, комфортного аромата, потому что может оказаться, что вовсе не он будет поддерживать вас, а скорее вы должны будете помочь ему.

Filling the emptiness

It’s hard to imagine which episode from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel “Tender Is the Night” served as the starting point for the art director of Collection Sculptures olfactives Majda Bekkali and perfumer Delphine Thierry, but I guess they could perfectly start from here:

It was a limpid black night, hung as in a basket from a single dull star. The horn of the car ahead was muffled by the resistance of the thick air. Brady’s chauffeur drove slowly; the tail-light of the other car appeared from time to time at turnings — then not at all.

Tendre Est La Nuit is not really translucent for a perfume about black night, but it opens pretty neat. Trendy niche immortelle isn’t trying to get straight to the soul, and spices enclose in a hug, in which, however, it is possible to breathe. It’s like tuning a guitar – at the same time you check the tension force and the height of the sound, as well as if your fingers do not hurt after yesterday’s workout. And when it becomes clear that everything is right – you can look around.

Tendre Est La Nuit is much more resistant than the protagonist of the novel, Dick Diver. In this regard, you can trust it. What it will show still depends on many factors, and the perfumer has prepared several scenarios: leather, wood, modest drinking. We have seen that Nicole & Dick Diver can get pleasure from life – whether they go out or throw a dinner/party. This versatility helps also with Majda Bekkali’s perfume – you can wear it to many places.

And yet, Tendre Est La Nuit is not so simple. There is something dangerous in it, that is hiding in the shadows for the time being. No, I don’t mean terrible musks or animal smells – that are present there, and quite successfully. Something lies in the combination of ingredients that invite to get closer – and suddenly strongly repel. If your nerves are healthy – you can try to pull a little bit of adrenaline with Tendre Est La Nuit. But if you are tired – I would advise to restrain yourself from this, at first glance, comfortable perfume. It may happen that it will not support you, but rather you will have to help it.

“Меня зовут красный” – любимая книга арт-директора Collection Sculptures olfactives Мажды Беккали. И она посвятила ей аромат с одноименным названием. Но мне больше нравится связывать настроение этой книги с парфюмом Fusion Sacrée – Elle. Тем более, что последний как раз и бросает вызов нашей любви к кофе – достаточно ли она сильна, чтобы пахнуть им целый день?

Конечно, женский Fusion Sacrée сложнее, чем просто аромат кофейни. И вовсе не потому, что он не гурманский. Бертран Дюшофур изготовил вместе с Маждой довольно экзотические блюда. Пробовали лапшу из жасмина с кориандром? А фаршированные туберозой персики? То-то же.

На рынке достаточно интересных гурманских ароматов, как с кофейными, так и с цветочными добавками. Так стоит ли заморачиваться поиском не самого доступного нишевого парфюма? Мой ответ – да, если вам нравится книга Памука. Потому что случаются дни, когда Fusion Sacre- Elle обращается к чувствам в том же стиле экзальтированной сказки. Меня зовут?..

“My Name is Red” is art director’s of Sculptures olfactives, Majda Bekkali’s favorite book. And she dedicated a perfume to it with the same name. However, I prefer to associate the mood of this book with Fusion Sacrée – Elle perfume. Even more so that the latter challenges our love for coffee – is it strong enough to dare exude this fragrance all day long?

Of course, female Fusion Sacrée is more complex than just a smell of a coffee house. And not just because it’s not gourmet. Bertrand Duchaufour together with Majda Bekkali has cooked rather exotic dishes. Have you ever tried jasmine noodles with coriander? And what about peaches stuffed with tuberose? You got it.

There are many quite interesting gourmet scents on the market with coffee as well as flower additives. So is it really worth it to search for the far not the most affordable niche perfume? My answer is – yes if you like the book by Orhan Pamuk. Because there are days when Fusion Sacrée – Elle appeals to senses in the same style of an exalted story. I am ..?
