Чтобы оценить парфюм от Lubin Kismet, мне кажется, нужно одно из двух: либо быть лояльным к ингредиенту пачули, либо симпатизировать слонам. А лучше, две эти вещи совместить. Kismet сделает слона из… растений.

Парфюмер Тома Фонтейн добавил изящную, но очень недолговечную цитрусовую верхушку к союзу сладких роз и пачули. Что бы ни происходило с нами, миром или курсом евро – все ведет к пачули. Землистому, настырному и безграничному. К счастью, базовые ноты тоже раскрываются очень быстро, предлагая загадку, что делает эти пачули еще и животными – оттенки лабданума, или какие-то интересные мускусы. Приятно, что композиция обыгрывает картинку на коробочке. Что-то очень теплое и большое (почему бы и не слоник?) бредет куда-то под звездами.

А еще, “слоник” – мягок и степенен, лишенный откровенных сладостей, и сандал в нем тоже очень сдержанный, слегка замшевый и самую малость гурманский. Примерно как в Les Exclusifs de Chanel Misia (2015).

It’s an elephant

To admire perfume by Lubin Kismet, the one of two things is necessary: either be loyal to the patchouli ingredient, or sympathize with the elephants. Sure it is better to combine both. Kismet will make more then just plants.

The perfumer Thomas Fontaine added an elegant, but very short-lived citrus top to the alliance of sweet roses and patchouli. Whatever happens to you, the world or the euro – everything leads to patchouli. Earthy, persistent and boundless. Fortunately, the base notes also reveal quickly, suggesting a riddle, what makes these patchouli also animalic – shades of labdanum, or some interesting musk. It’s nice that the composition shows the same picture as on the box. Someone warm and big (why not an elephant?) walks alone somewhere under the stars.

Moreover, Kismet is soft and sedate, devoid of the overtly sweet notes, and the sandalwood here is also restrained, slightly suede-like and just a little gourmand. Much like in Les Exclusifs de Chanel Misia (2015).
