After trying to figure out where the closest to Rose Ivoire de Caron (2019) incarnation of rose is, I put on my wrist Rose de Mai by Perris Monte Carlo. And – no, this graceful rose is quite weighty and rich. Rose Ivoire is more about pink light woven into an emerald cloud of orris, pepper and starchy ambrette. Spring and summer is the most appropriate time to hear this fresh, lemony and at the same time sweet and fruity rose.

The beige frame of Rose Ivoire rings with something like cloves and tobacco, conveying nutty and milky shades. It meets rose beautifully in the spirit of early 00s fragrances, showing caramel and coconut nuances. Не уверена, что этот красивый ольфакторный пейзаж будет органично смотреться на настоящих бородатых альпинистах, но девушкам, желающим совместить мягкость, комфорт и современную стилистику, можно смело пробовать подружиться с ним.

The owners of the brand Jul et Mad took a chance – and pulled us into the mountains. High Himalayas in Nepal, Annapurna. They invited us to share the joy of climbing and happiness to breathe that special air and see the beauty for many kilometers around.

Their latest perfume Stairway to Heaven opens with an aldehyde-fruity chord that really sends straight to heaven, snow-capped peaks and pink clouds. This elation will continue at all stages of the journey, despite the fact that the scent is quite dense. It is like a fluffy cloud.

Perfumer Cécile Zarokian built Stairway to Heaven on the contrast of aldehydes and airy musks with a more down to earth abstract gourmet part. Here we can imagine the desire of travelers to eat warm pita bread or rice porridge. There is also a rose ribbon in the composition, as a rest and a dividing element.

It seems to me, Cécile Zarokian reproduced here the same technique in the base notes concept as in her work Aqua Sextius, made for Jul et Mad five years ago. Perfume does not go down, but bounces off the lower register to the central part. In Stairway to Heaven, it is probably perceived even better – this jumping from vanilla is really nice, although if you follow the finale carefully, an incense and an abstract wood will be found also. A light and weightless base can even resemble some luminous little stars.

I’m not so sure, this beautiful olfactory landscape will look good on real bearded climbers, but girls who want to combine softness, comfort and modern style, can safely try to befriend it.

L’être aimé femme – теплый и желтый, с ярким “бессмертниковым” сердцем. Со спокойным характером – и в то же время требующий определенной готовности носить довольно плотную ольфакторную ткань. Я не решалась нанести это чудо из спрея в течение нескольких лет, пока не смогла оценить в микронамазе глубину и аккуратность базы. Теперь же вижу и чувствую, что парфюм этот и нуждается в некотором рассеивании, – ну или в этом нуждаюсь я В любом случае, здесь интересно наблюдать декорирование слоев поверхности ванильной пылью и отмечать, что сочный крем смолы едой так и не становится.

The perfumer painted a tiger with juicy citrus, fruit osmanthus and ylang with cinnamon and vanilla stripes. The beast here is essentially a toy, from a cartoon – with soft fur and nuts – and at the same time he is lively, agile and graceful.

Kenzo Jungle le Tigre is warm and orange. Stable and friendly, no matter what the weather. It is definitely a prize to be won at auction.

Парфюм Wonderly от The house of oud задуман как интригующая ольфакторная картинка снега в пустыне. Контраст влаги и суши, жары и холода, привычного и нового. Мне кажется, все это удачно здесь воплощено.

Воздушную и местами кисельную базу, которую можно представить плотными облаками, парфюмер покрыл аккуратными цветами жасмина и флердоранжа, не забыв о спецэффектах. Сквозь все в общем-то теплые компоненты проникает голубой свет, добавляя прохладу. Температура, объем и сила удивления рассчитаны точно.
