Арт-директор Parfums MDCI Клод Маршаль, принимая решение о гендерной принадлежности парфюма Chypre Palatin, остановился на мужском оформлении флакона. Наверняка, понимая, что это не помешает любительницам парфюмерии не только познакомиться, но и подружиться с ним.

И с Chypre Palatin таки сложно не подружиться! Даже при беглом знакомстве возникает ассоциация с одними из самых достойных ароматов прошлого века – Alpona Caron и New York Parfums de Nicolai. Только Chypre Palatin более дружелюбный. С каждой следующей “примеркой” понимаешь, что он не требователен ни к случаю, ни к погоде, ни к настроению. Более того, он и сам может создать настроение если не праздника – то подготовки к нему. А еще становится очевидно, что этот аромат может дать женщинам гораздо больше, чем обещал вначале, – и цветов (гиацинт, роза, жасмин и гардения), и нежных десертных оттенков в базовых нотах. И все это нанизано на игрушечный, будто бы нарисованный шипровый скелет.

Мне кажется симпатичной официальная легенда Parfums MDCI – про Палатинский холм и дворцы римских императоров. В конце концов, она отлично сочетается с их дизайном флаконов со стопперами в виде сделанных вручную бюстами. Однако еще больше мне нравится представлять Chypre Palatin эдаким романтичным юношей, рассказывающим о любви. Примерно как в этой песне:

Art director of Parfums MDCI Claude Marchal, thinking about the gender of the perfume Chypre Palatin, decided in favour of the design of the men’s bottle. He certainly knew, that it will not keep female perfume lovers both from meeting it and palling up with it.

It’s really difficult not to pal up with Chypre Palatin! Even a quick look gives an association with the very decent perfumes of the past century – Alpona Caron and New York Parfums de Nicolai. Though Chypre Palatin is much more friendly. With each successive “try-on” you realize that it doesn’t require any special time, weather or mood. Moreover, it can create if not a holiday mood, then the mood of the holiday preparation. This perfume can give to women much more things than initially promised – foremost flowers (hyacinth, rose, jasmine and gardenia), and second, gentle sweet tones in the base notes. And all these things are strung on a toy, “pictured” chypre backbone.

The official legend of Pafums MDCI – about the Palatine Hill and the palaces of the Roman emperors – seems pretty to me. After all, it goes well with the design of their bottles with stoppers in the form of hand-carved busts. But even more I like to imagine Chypre Palatin as a romantic young man telling a love story. Like in this song:
