Парфюм Sira des Indes by Jean Patou (2006) больше не выпускается, но может быть интересен поклонникам творчества Жан-Мишеля Дюрье, к тому же, духи все еще можно купить на ибее. Sira des Indes не настолько послушен и нежен, как Enjoy, созданный парфюмером для Jean Patou несколькими годами ранее, однако же этот гурманский восток очень не скучно разнашивать. Путешествие в Индию начинается с бергамота, зеленых трав и специй. Ощущается свежий и в то же время вязкий воздух, щекочущий перцем и кардамоном.

Если бы не эти специи, центр аромата всегда бы опрокидывался в парное молоко. Но нет, Sira демонстрирует то воздух, то землю, то тягучую жидкость между ними. В воздухе – гурманская тема (груши, иланговое печенье и вафли) каким-то образом сочетается с жуками, кузнечиками и стрекозами. Sira бывает предгрозовой, с резкими тенями и огромным иланговым облаком, а иногда кокетливо дразнит банановой кожурой, островками магнолий и хлопушками апельсинового цвета. В базе – ил и туман.

Aромат хорош в обеих концентрациях (extrait и edp), в каждой – по-своему.

A land of milk

Perfume Sira des Indes by Jean Patou (2006) is discontinued, but may be of interest to fans of Jean-Michel Duriez’ works, and, moreover, it still can be ordered on ebay. Sira des Indes is not as obedient and gentle as Enjoy, created for Jean Patou a few years earlier, but it is fascinating to try to befriend this gourmet east. Travel to India begins with bergamot, green herbs and spices. There is fresh and at the same time lingering air, tickling with pepper and cardamom.

Without these spices, the center of the fragrance would always fall down into fresh milk. But no, Sira shows an air, then an earth, then viscous fluid between them. In the air – a gourmet theme (pears, ylang cookies and waffles) is somehow combined with beetles, grasshoppers and dragonflies. Sira can be pre-thunderous, with sharp shadows and a huge ylang cloud, and sometimes coquettishly tease with banana peels, islands of magnolias and orange blossom confetti. In the base there are silt and fog.

The perfume is good in both concentrations (extrait and edp), in each in its own way.
